Job Details
The Director, CSIR–National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL), Pune will exercise administrative control over the staff, steer the laboratory’s mission, set priorities in alignment with CSIR’s vision, and foster an enabling environment for scientific and technological activities, innovation and growth. Appointment is in Pay Matrix Level-15 with admissible allowances, on tenure of six years or until superannuation, whichever is earlier. As per CSIR rules, the appointee may be considered for absorption/appointment as Director-grade scientist (Scientist H/Outstanding Scientist).

Eligibility Criteria:
- Essential qualification: PhD in Natural Sciences OR Master’s degree in Engineering (PhD desirable for engineers).
- Experience: Minimum 16 years of R&D experience with emphasis on applied research and demonstrated leadership.
Age Limitations:
- Age range: 45–56 years; relaxation by DG, CSIR for exceptional candidates.
Salary Details
> Salary Range: ₹1,82,200 - ₹2,24,100 Monthly
> Allowances: Admissible allowances as per CSIR rules.
