Job Details

CSIR–Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL) Unit invites online applications for temporary, time‑bound project personnel for the TKDL projects “Digitization of Indian Traditional Practices on Minerals, Metals, Materials and Allied Areas (HCP522403)” and “Digitization of Traditional Agricultural Practices of India (HCP522401)” at New Delhi. Posts: Senior Project Associate (Sanskrit) – 1; Project Associate‑I – Metallurgy (2), Agriculture (1) and Patents (1). Engagement is purely contractual up to 31 March 2027 (co‑terminus with the project). Selection comprises a written test followed by interview of shortlisted candidates.

Job Summary

CSIR–TKDL, New Delhi is recruiting five project staff on a contractual, project‑based basis — SPA (Sanskrit) and PA‑I in Metallurgy, Agriculture and Patent. Apply online by 23rd September 2026, 5:00 PM; reporting is on 24–25 September 2026 between 9:30 am and 10:30 am.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Essential qualification/experience: Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Sanskrit + 3 years relevant R&D experience OR Doctoral Degree in Sanskrit + 2 years relevant R&D experience.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Essential qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy/Metallurgical Engineering OR Master’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.

Salary Details

> Salary Range: ₹25,000 - ₹42,000 Monthly

  • Per‑post emoluments: SPA: Rs. 42,000 + HRA per month. PA‑I: Rs. 31,000 + HRA for candidates with CSIR UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET (incl. LS/Asst. Prof.)/GATE or qualified National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/Agencies; Rs. 25,000 + HRA for others.

Selection Process

1. Stage 1:

3. Result communication:
Candidates must wait for result/instructions of the written examination unless informed otherwise.

Reservation Details

1. Age relaxation:
SC/ST/PwBD/Women: 5 years; OBC: 3 years, or as per Government of India instructions.

Document Requirements

1. At application stage (to upload):
Certificates of educational qualifications (matriculation onwards), age, reservation/statutory category (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS), experience certificate (if any), publications/patents (if any), and detailed biodata.
2. At test/interview:
Two self‑attested photographs; originals and a set of self‑attested photocopies of certificates/testimonials; a copy of bio‑data neatly typed on A4 paper.

Important Instructions

1. Tenure:
Positions are purely temporary and on contract up to 31st March 2027 or co‑terminus with the project; total CSIR project engagement must not exceed 6 years.
2. Travel/allowances:
No TA/DA for attending written test/interview; travel may be required during project work as per need.
3. HRA:
House rent allowance payable as per extant GoI rules applicable to CSIR employees.
4. Upgradation/cancellation:
No upgradation in same/new project; CSIR–TKDL may cancel/withdraw offer in case of discrepancy at any stage; number of positions may increase/decrease or the process may be cancelled.
5. Joining & certificates:
Selected candidates must join within timeframe in offer letter after medical examination and character verification; character and medical fitness certificates to be furnished.
6. Conduct:
Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified.
