Job Details

The Deputy Director (Implementation) will oversee Official Language implementation activities including constitution, monitoring and follow-up of Town Official Language Implementation Committees (TOLICs); managing changes in TOLIC chairmanship and meeting calendars; organizing regional TOLIC conferences; reviewing monthly work output of eight regional implementation offices; handling clarifications on Official Language implementation; managing decisions and ceremonies for Official Language awards, including regional evaluations; arranging budgets/financial sanctions and disposal of audit objections; monitoring targets under the Department’s annual programme and quarterly progress reports from Ministries/Departments; monitoring Departmental Official Language Implementation Committees and reviewing minutes; maintaining updated computerised databases; organizing Central Official Language Implementation Committees (COLICs) and issuing agendas/minutes; ensuring notifications under Rule 10(4) of the Official Language Rules; replying to Parliamentary Questions and preparing supplementary notes; and disposing matters under the Right to Information Act.

  • Service eligibility: Officers under the Central Government holding analogous posts on regular basis OR with 5 years’ regular service in Level‑10 OR 6 years in Level‑8 OR 7 years in Level‑7 (or equivalent).
  • Educational qualification: Master’s in English with Hindi at degree level OR Master’s in Hindi with English at degree level (essential).
  • Desirable: One year’s experience in implementing the Official Language Act, 1963 or policy.

Salary Details

> Salary Range: ₹67,700 - ₹2,08,700 Monthly
