Job Details
One post of Deputy Director (Engineering) in the Development Wing of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways is to be filled on deputation (including short‑term contract) basis in Pay Level‑11. Duties include scrutiny of project/feasibility reports and cost estimates for port and fishing harbour schemes; examination of tender documents and specifications for civil/mechanical works; preparation/scrutiny of notes for EFC/PIB/CCEA; work with committees and working groups connected with major ports; scrutiny and monitoring of R&D proposals; providing technical inputs to audit; and scrutiny of design/drawings and technical specifications for floating crafts/cranes/other equipment and related procurement proposals. Deputation period ordinarily shall not exceed three years.
