Job Details

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) invites applications on deputation (on Foreign Service terms) for Section Officer at UIDAI Technology Centre, Bengaluru. The post carries Pay Matrix Level-8 of the 7th CPC (Rs. 47,600–1,51,100). Eligible officers include Central Government officers holding analogous posts or with three years’ regular service in Level-7 or five years in Level-6, and officers from State/UT Governments/PSUs/Autonomous Organisations holding regular posts in corresponding grades. Maximum age is below 56 years as on the closing date, only officers with at least five years of government service may apply, and minimum residual service should be 3 years as on the closing date. Deputation tenure is five years (lending organisation may relieve for a lesser period subject to a minimum of three years). Terms will be governed by UIDAI Regulations, 2020 and applicable DoPT instructions.

Annex II certificate from forwarding authority with cadre clearance, and copies of ACRs/APARs for the last five years duly attested by an officer not below Under Secretary/equivalent.

4. Deadline:

Only applications received through proper channel with required documents may be considered; incomplete or late applications may not be considered.
6. Cadre controlling authority clarification:
For IAS/IPS/IFoS, cadre controlling authorities are DoPT/MHA/MoEF respectively; where none is specified, the authority competent to relieve the officer is treated as cadre controlling authority.

Important Instructions

1. Withdrawal of candidature:
Individuals who apply may not withdraw their candidature subsequently.

Private candidates are not eligible; the post is to be filled on deputation basis.
3. Tenure:
Deputation shall be for five years; lending organisation may relieve for a lesser period subject to a minimum of three years.
4. Regulatory basis:
Leave regulated by CCS (Leave) Rules, 1972; other terms per UIDAI Regulations, 2020 and DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009‑Estt.(Pay II) dated 17.6.2010.
5. Pay protection in dissimilar organisations:
Where pay/DA pattern differs from UIDAI, only pay is protected, not perquisites (as per DoPT OM 17.6.2010).
6. Right to withdraw:
UIDAI reserves the right to withdraw the circular at any time without assigning reasons.

Disqualification Criteria

1. Late/incomplete applications:
Applications received after the last date or incomplete may not be considered.
2. Improper channel:
Applications not received through proper channel may not be considered.
3. Non‑availability for deputation:
Applications of individuals whose services cannot be spared by the cadre controlling authority may not be forwarded.
