Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Assam Oil Division) is inviting online applications from eligible female Indian nationals for admission to the 3-year full-time General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course at Assam Oil School of Nursing (AOSN), IOCL (AOD), Digboi Refinery for session 2026–27. AOSN is affiliated to Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati and the course is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Thirty seats are available with reservation (UR-14, EWS-03, SC-02, ST-03, OBC-NCL-08) and 6 seats reserved for Digboi Legislative Constituency (DLC). Admission will be based on GNMEE-2026 score with weightage of Income Certificate, followed by document verification and medical examination; tie-breakers are as notified. During training, a monthly stipend of Rs. 2,500/2,700/2,900 (1st/2nd/3rd year) is payable, along with free hostel accommodation, medical attention for self at AOD Hospital and uniform. After passing out, candidates will be engaged compulsorily as working interns for 1 year at AOD Hospital or other IOCL hospitals (extendable up to 2 years at IOCL AOD’s discretion) with a stipend of Rs. 15,250 per month (plus Rs. 1,000 per month if placed at other IOCL hospitals).

Application requirement: Candidates shall apply online with GNMEE-2026 Roll No. and total marks obtained in GNMEE-2026.
Who can apply: Only female candidates; married candidates are eligible; candidates must be medically fit.
Educational criteria: As per eligibility section (10+2 with English and minimum 40% in specified streams or Registered ANM).

Age Limitations:

Age limits: Minimum 17 years as on 31.12.2026; upper age 35 years; SC/ST +5 years, OBC-NCL +3 years; no age bar for Registered ANM (RANM).

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting and number of call-ups:: Only 30 eligible candidates meeting the desired parameters shall be called for document verification followed by medical examination.
2. Merit formulation:: Final merit list will be prepared based on GNMEE written examination score with weightage marks of Income Certificate.
3. Tie-breakers:: Order: higher English marks in Entrance Exam; then General Science; then Mathematics; if still tied, HSLC (Class 10) English, then General Science, then Mathematics.
4. Medical fitness:: Only candidates declared fit in medical examination shall be considered for admission.

Reservation Details

1. Seat matrix:: UR-14, EWS-03, SC-02, ST-03, OBC-NCL-08; six seats reserved for Digboi Legislative Constituency (DLC).
2. OBC (NCL):: Only communities in the Central Government common OBC list are treated as OBC-NCL; creamy layer not eligible; certificate must be in GoI prescribed format.
3. EWS:: Income & Asset Certificate must be issued by competent authority as per DoPT O.M. No. 36039/1/2019-Estt(Res) dated 31.01.2019.

5. Income Certificate:: For FY 2025-26, issued on or after 01.04.2026 by competent Revenue Authority not below the rank of Circle Revenue Inspector/other competent authority; affidavit not accepted.
6. DLC reservation proof:: Voter Identity Card of self or parent and PRC (Permanent Residence Certificate) of self or parent.
7. Entrance score:: GNMEE Score Card 2026.
